As the year 2020 came to a close, the simulator games category on Android saw varying levels of engagement and growth. Using data provided by Sensor Tower, we can observe the performance of the top five simulator games in the United States during the fourth quarter.

Starting with Sushi Roll 3D - Cooking ASMR, published by SayGames Ltd, we saw an explosive increase in both downloads and weekly active users (WAU). Downloads skyrocketed from 1K in the week of November 9 to an impressive 723K in the final week of December. Similarly, WAUs jumped from 862 to nearly 1M in the same period.

Kwalee Ltd's Let's Be Cops 3D also experienced a noteworthy performance, with downloads peaking at 225K in late October and gradually declining to 78K by the end of December. The game's revenue showed a peak of $1.5K in early November, with a slight increase to $727 by the year's end. WAUs followed a similar pattern, with a peak of 376K in late October and ending the quarter with 145K.

For Foil Turning 3D, published by Gismart, the downloads showed a decreasing trend from 202K in early October to 66K in the last week of December. The WAUs saw a peak of 306K in mid-October, decreasing to 105K by the end of December.

Lion Studios' Pawn Shop Master had its highest number of downloads at the beginning of the quarter with 249K, which then declined to 61K by the end of December. The revenue for this game showed a small peak in early October at $4.3K and ended the quarter with $1.6K. WAUs decreased from 339K at the start of October to 88K by December's end.

Lastly, another Lion Studios game, Fruit Clinic, showed a consistent decline in downloads from 99K in early October to 78K in the last week of December. The revenue did not follow a clear trend, with minor fluctuations and ending the quarter with no recorded revenue. WAUs had a peak of 159K in early October, declining to 125K by the end of December.

The data from Sensor Tower provides a glimpse into the simulator games landscape on Android in the U.S., with more detailed insights available on their platform. It's evident that while some games experienced a surge in user engagement, others saw a gradual decrease as the quarter progressed.
